We were very blessed to be able to go to Disney for an amazing trip. That being said, I felt it was only right to take a day to “extra” remind ourselves where our blessings come from and to also find a way to witness without being pushy.
So, I tried to come up with something that would still provide that ambiance that Disney World is famous for, but at the same time reflected our beliefs and gratefulness to God. I didn’t want to add anything specifically Disney – like a mouse – because this is about GOD here, not Disney. This is what I came up with.
My husband’s shirt was purchased at Christian Book and is a Kerusso design. If you search the site for Kerusso, it will pull up a bunch of shirts (which are ever changing with new designs). I chose this one because this was the biggest trip or “journey” that we had taken together as a family. I purchased his shirt because I was having a hard time coming up with a design that would fit his personality that I could make for myself.
For my shirt, I already knew what I had in mind. I had often heard that women are “princesses” because we are daughters of the King of Kings. I made mine from a design I purchased on Etsy. The “Galations 3:26” font is Ashlyn’s Alphabet, which is a Design Space font included with Cricut Access. (Sorry that it’s incredibly wrinkly).
For Bug’s shirt, I wanted it kept simple, with a child’s optimism of the world and toward’s his Heavenly Father.
