Mango Almond Smoothie

This is my favorite smoothie and one of my favorite things to make if I’m feeling nauseated.

Almond butter is a little milder on the stomach than peanut butter and the almond in this smoothie is very subtle.

 

2 cups orange juice (you can sub up to 1 cup of the OJ with water if you’re wanting to cut back on calories)

1-2 Tablespoons almond butter (to taste)

1 cup frozen mango chunks

Approximately 8 ice cubes

1/2  of a medium – large banana

1 – 2 Tablespoons raw sugar or honey (to taste)

 

Blend OJ with almond butter. Add mango chunks and ice cubes and then blend again. Finally, add the banana and blend one more time. Stir or blend in your sweetener as desired.
